About ClipSqueeze
ClipSqueeze is a video compressor that runs 100% inside your browser. Your video file never leaves your device. There is no upload, no server-side processing, and no account required.
We built ClipSqueeze because every other "free" video compressor uploads your video to a server you do not control — slow, privacy-invasive, and rate-limited behind a paywall. ClipSqueeze uses a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg to do the work locally on your CPU.
How it works
- You select a video file. The browser reads it into memory.
- FFmpeg.wasm runs the compression locally — no network involved.
- You download the compressed file directly from your browser.
Limits
Browsers cap memory at around 2–4 GB per tab. In practice, ClipSqueeze handles videos up to roughly 1 GB comfortably. For larger files, a desktop tool like HandBrake will be faster.
Open & free
ClipSqueeze is free with no usage caps, no watermarks, no ads-on-click. If you find it useful, share it with a friend.
